Alan Wake Remastered: Asset Glitching and Extreme Visual Issues (Linux Mint 21.2)

Hello all, as the title suggests, I'm encountering (and have been for a while) extreme visual issues whilst running Alan Wake Remastered on Linux. On both my RTX 3060 12gb and my RX 6700 XT, this game suffers horribly from asset glitching, IE trees randomly stretching across the map, mysterious white trapezoid voids appearing (pictured in screenshot alongside log file) and textures not fully rendering. Luckily, on my 3060, the game is somewhat playable; on my AMD card these glitches result in a black screen that goes away for a second after hitting ESC and entering the pause menu, only to come back and completely obstruct the player camera view. My NVIDIA GPU suffers from these oddities but not to the same degree. Unfortunately I really have no clue as to what could be causing this... Thanks Remedy for partnering with Epic... real based decision you made there...

hoo boy... its even worse now, and... using Proton Experimental makes the game unable to see locally stored save files...

because proton sandboxes the prefix and doesn't integrate it with rest of the desktop like Wine-GE so you'd need to copy /home/isaacapaczkowski/Documents/Remedy/AlanWakeRemastered into /home/isaacapaczkowski/Games/Heroic/Prefixes/default/Alan Wake Remastered/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Documents/AlanWakeRemastered

figured... Proton isn't meant to run outside of Steam without caveats I've heard...

those are not caveats really... it's better to keep prefixes separate from rest of the desktop

I'll try that and see if it fixes the save file issue; unfortunately the landscapes becoming Lovecraftian horrors still exists no matter if It's using Proton or Wine-GE Can confirm that DOES allow me to use savefiles whilst using Proton... however these still persist...
