SLOW DOWNLOAD SPEED
I got 1 gbps of internet. still getting like 1 or 2 mbps speed.

I'm not sure that that's a thing that can be helped with.
I think the odds are it's a back-end issue with that particular game, as I've had it happen with a few of my games, but most of them download at a decent speed.

having this same issue while trying to download fortnite. both on epic and now heroic. starting to think it's just the dumb game

I have the exact same issue as this. Downloading is fine on Steam and Lutris, plus browser. Just Heroic where the speeds are abysmal.

Having this same issue.. and dove into it a bit, seams to be a heroic issue on Windows... I am using the gogdl v 1.1.2, legendary 0.20.36 and nile 1.1.2... When I am doing multiple game downloads, those sub processes intermittently get orphaned from heroic in the task manager. when that happens they multiply and then the download speed tanks. (normal downloads sees 16 of one of those sub processes during a download) but I was down to .01 MB/s and had the 16 attached to heroic and another 64 orphaned, I closed heroic and then had to end task on each one of those orphaned processes. restarted heroic and my download speed jumped back up to 200 MB/s +

anybody find a fix to this? I'm thinking of install gog galaxy through bottles just to circumvent the slow download speeds I'm getting on heroic. every 8-10 seconds the download progress shoots up to normal speeds for an instant then immediately goes back down to zero. game is BG3.
