Custom domain stuck on "Issuing TLS certificate" for almost a week
Hi team! We have a platform that allows clients to create subdomains under our wildcard, e.g. [subdomain].mydomain.app, and also set up custom domains as they wish, in which case, we will generate the CNAME target in Railways and send it to them manually.
One of our clients set up the CNAME target a week ago, but it's stuck on "Issuing TLS certificate", so navigating to their website currently will result in an insecure warning.
Was wondering how we can un-stuck the "Issuing TLS certificate" step here, we never ran into this issue before (it took a while for the client to set it up, so maybe that's related?) Thanks!

here is a screenshot, if it helps!
is this hidden domain a wildcard?
nope! it's like members.[company].com for them
just DMed it to you π
my dms are closed π€£
ah - it's <redacted>
(not a wildcard)
and you are positive the dns is setup correctly?
yep - they set it up before correctly when we were using heroku - we're actually migrating them to our new app on railways
and we also set up other domains here without a problem
(on railways)
okay i will flag the team
thank you!

I can raise with our platform team, but can you first try removing and readding the domain. That will kick of the cert generation again.
is there a way to trigger it on your end π ? the client is a large company and not the most responsive (it took us about a week for them to get back to their IT team to add the CNAME)
but if it's too much of a hassle, ofc we can ask them to re-add, thank you!
I'll raise and get back to you
Hi jr, would you have any updates here? Thanks!
Hey, haven't forgotten about this. Team is going to retrigger the cert generation soon (next few hours)
Sorry this took so long @kevin. A cert has now been issued for the domain
no worries! thanks so much, was worried we'd have to re-ask the client, but it seems all good now, appreciate the help π
