wool slacks fit
Hi,
My wool slacks just came in in the correct color. They obviously need to be hemmed and maybe taken in at the waist but are there other issues?
Thank you!

Got profile and back pics to go with that front pic?
Sure, what do you mean by profile pic?
side profile
Pic taken from the side
Thank you, taking them rn
Lol the butt looks p bad, will that be fixed by hemming and taking the waist in an inch?
need an iron but I think they’re good with a hem and the waist
being taken in
idunno
They did come needing some ironing
I love them as is as a statement piece but yes it does need a hem if you want to use them in the office or something
Thank you!! They were only $25 with ship, was a nice find
Should I get them hemmed with a single or no break btw?
I personally will go with a little break
So i ran into this problem with big leg opening but no breal
Break
And the fabric slap my ankle like a flag in middle of a hurricane
It was annoying
U would need to slim down the legs for it to stop doing so
is that a possible alteration? is it separate from taking in the waist/hemming?
or would it just be addressed by hemming with a break?
@gimp sorry to ping but what do you think of the slacks fit lol?
Put some shoes on
basically they narrow the legs, but it cost quite a bit
that why i said with a little break
How much extra space between your body and the pants waist? Does a belt hold them on properly without you holding them up with your hands?
Yes the belt holds them up properly. Just am holding up my shirt in the pics to show the pants fit fully
I think the biggest concern is excess fabric around the legs and crotch/butt
Yes. Unsure if iron/press will fix.
Hmm ig I have to get them pressed and find out.
Theyre just too big unfortunately. This is a lot of fabric to bunch up, and you can tell theres a lot of extra fabric in the crotch, seat, and hip.
You could tailor them but when taking in a significant amount of fabric like that it can be pretty hard to get the fit right and may not be worth the extra money
It does all depend on what you want to wear them for.
In more casual oversized outfits it may not be as much of an issue
I appreciate the advice! I want to wear them with a blazer/ocbd but also casual fits with sweaters
They're free returns so even less of pain with returning. I can get p much the same pants new in size 30 but they're $120
The question is how much tailoring would cost (if it's even feasible) in addition to the $25 I spent on these used ones
it's harder than i thought finding mid grey wool slacks in 30 on ebay...
anyone know the fit on zanella? I found a new pair for $80
well actually $100 after shipping
taken in waist and seat is 45 at least in my area
hem is 20 buck, but that proper tailor
90 total before get it dry clean
I get most of my trousers for like $20-30 on ebay, a lot less risk than $100
Well, more like half than most, but ...
i will keep searching but i coudn't find anything decent in size 30
Keep your eyes open and you'll find stuff for sure
I agree with weeg. Basically impossible to determine what else they might need to be nicer tailored trousers with the waist how it is and it’s a lot of fabric to take in. Likely to end up with proportion issues
Mtm? I think cotton is suitable with odd jacket commination
