thick but breathable sweaters
So thick sweaters I love the look of, and they look great on me. But I run very hot, so it’s rare I can actually wear one for an extended period unless it’s like under 50 and I’m outside.
Does anyone have recs for thicker/textured sweaters that are still breathable? I’ve recently discovered that linen sweaters are a thing, but haven’t found many versions that are thicker rather than thin.
Thanks!

or you need thick wool but open weave
linen ones gotta be thin for warmer times
Merino wool would be another good option, very breathable. Something like icebreaker? https://www.icebreaker.com/en-us/mens-knitwear/merino-cable-knit-crewe-sweater/0A56S5U2.html?dwvar_0A56S5U2_color=000&dwvar_0A56S5U2_US=in_line

Merino Cable Knit Crewe Sweater
Ideal for winter travel and cold, snowy days around town, the Merino Cable Knit Crewe Sweater provides classic style with the natural benefits of 100% merino wool.
Yohji/Y’s do some sweaters that are very breathable with chunky bamboo yarn. They make them with the purl side out which has a great nubby look without adding any bulk. Here’s an example: https://www.playful-dc.com/en/products/details78629.html

I will say the drape is pretty different than your traditional wool sweater, much looser and sagging
Merino is definitely the best I’ve found so far, but I definitely need a more open weave even in merino if I’m going chunkier
I was also looking at like Patagonia R1
Honestly the best thing for temp regulation is a full zip in my experience. I think the Patagonia better sweater looks better than the R1
Yeah I agree it looks better… it’s just a bit too warm
