Pixel 8 Pro - not uploading all images to Immich
I've been using Immich for about half a year now. For this duration I was using both a Galaxy Fold 3 and a OnePlus 6T. I didn't have any issues at all with Immich on either phone.
I just switched to a Pixel 8 Pro a few days ago. I've noticed that it just does not want to upload all the images/videos/screenshots I've taken.
For example, today I've taken about 31 photos/videos/screenshots total. Immich only uploaded 16 of them.
I just setup a quick test.
I set 4 objects next to each other with a label on each.
Like this:

It only uploaded 2 of the images. The images for the 1st and 3rd objects are not uploaded.
On the phone app, I can even click on the little photo icon on the right on this page and all the images are there. Immich is seeing that the images are on the phone, it's just not uploading them.
This is happening for screenshots as well. It's not uploading almost half of the items.
I'm hosting Immich on unraid. It is on version 1.81.1.
The android app is up to date as well, according to the play store.
If you have a chance please grab the mobile app log.
The screenshot of the backup page is also helpful
And try reinstall the app to see if it helps

Done, and I think it just pulled in the rest of my missing images from yesterday, actually.
Going to try the quick test now
I took 5 pictures and it just uploaded all 5

there is a black list database in the app
Appreciate it! I've been very happy with Immich so far.
On the previous phone I was using (Oneplus 6T) I had issues with uploading longer videos (5+ minutes), but that could be because it was an older phone so the processor wasn't keeping up with the uploading or something. No idea lol
which will put duplicated files in if it is reject from the server

so there might have been a scenario that those files get put into the table
I am planning to expose those storage to the user interface so the user can reset that table to handle cases like this until we figure out the root cause

One of the big new features of this Pixel 8 Pro is being able to use an AI editor for photos. It'll use AI generation to move subjects around the photos and whatnot.
If I edit a photo and save a copy on my phone, I can't seem to get Immich to upload that edited photo
is it saved into a separate album/folder?
(going to delete this after you see them as it shows location lol)
Same folder location for both

The process is:
Take photo
Open Google Photos and edit
Save copy
Open Immich to upload, it wont upload the edited image
Or maybe it get put into a different order?
here is one easy way to test
go to immich and notice the total count
then edit one photo and come back to Immich to see if the total count increasing
