Mushroom gills work werid, they don't transfer heat to the first object they touch, which makes them pretty damn fire/heat resistant as shown in the two pictures. the ice doesn't transefer cold to the porcelain and the porcelain doesn't transfer heat to the ice(untill it gets through the gill layer). Its also shown as i've been cooking some mushrooms for a bit.
