Help with barbour sizing
Not confident at all about the sizing and how it fits me. It's a size 40 but not sure if I should go to the 38 (bought online, I can return and change for smaller size). I was wearing only a t-shirt but I want room for layering. I'm kinda overweight (and change a lot my weight due to stress) so I prefer to be little conservative and keep some room.

I was gonna go for a smaller size with mine until I tried it on with the biggest sweater I planned to wear with it. Definitely try it with more layers and try walking around, sitting down and tying a shoelace, etc. Fwiw I think this looks good, maybe even a little short? Assuming this is the bedale, the beaufort in the same size might cover your butt which is good in the kinda weather you'll be wearing it in
I like the fit and would not go smaller. It’s a traditional autumn/ rain / hunting jacket, so I think it should provide some room for layering and movement.
