yea, it's not so straight forward, also with responsiveness in mind.
Did you get a design for that as well?
As a little challenge, I did try to make something like that. (maybe it will help)

Thanks @MarkBoots , I've achieved the layout with flexbox already but your way is better one.
The responsiveness is a mess to do with this design, I asked the client to change the design. Because it is made for print not for web...
