Epic Games Store games uninstalled themselves after Heroic Launcher realized EOS was missing

I originally had the Heroic launcher installed with a bunch of Epic games, and then some friends made me install the Epic launcher to play this specific game. I soon uninstalled the Epic launcher after I no longer wanted to play that specific game, but it seemed to have removed Epic Online Services too. I opened Heroic and it immediately detected that something EOS-related was missing and started uninstalling all my Epic games without warning me that they would be uninstalled. So now I have to reinstall all those other games I wanted to play. There should be an update where Heroic reinstalls EOS instead of uninstalling my games without asking me.

Having logs of this behavior would be neat, since (as far as I know) this should be impossible on multiple levels (not doubting you or anything, I just don't see where a bug like that would even be)

I'm not advanced at this stuff, where would I find logs to send? This happened in the last 20 min or so Had I known logs would be useful here, I would've sent them

Go to "Settings" tab in the sidebar -> Logs, click "Show log file in folder". That should open up a folder with quite a few files, select all of those, ZIP them up & send that ZIP file into here

That should be the only log file needed, the last log file was from last night when I still had the Epic launcher Actually wait I might have a few more files

There you go, EGL did it When uninstalling it, it uninstalled all your games

Darn But yeah to reiterate, I would've included logs had I known they'd be helpful It's not like I'm a pro at this stuff

I didn't forget, I just didn't know they would help This isn't instinctive for everyone I probably shoulld've read the FAQ more thoroughly though I was probably being a bit rude there, I'm sorry I'm going through some grief right now

The problem is that epics launcher deinstall all games it detected if you deinstall the epic laincher itself So probably your installed epic launcher detected all games installed by heroic launcher

I understand EGL uninstalls your games when uninstalled, I've seen reports of that before too

Trying to reinstall some of these games, here's what I get when I try reinstalling Genshin: An error has occurred! Try to Logout and Login on your Epic account. yeah, that's another known problem when uninstalling EGL check in heroic's general settings if you have the EGL sync enabled, if so, disable that
