where can I get the game log? the only log option I could see was heroic's

install the dependencies here:

change the prefix path to not be the same as the game path (e.g. /run/media/quaso/uwu/Epic Games/Prefixes/GTAV)
verify and repair the game
that should be everything?
if it doesn't work, post a new game log after you give it a go

Turn off "Use Steam Runtime"
Also, the Wine prefix should really not be the default

looks like heroic is picking up a wine installed via some other method, which is fine, but ime best to use the wine installs heroic provides via the heroic wine manager
you are also using the wrong folder for wine prefixes.. heroic creates a wine prefix folder for each game by default, you should be using the default prefix location as a unique prefix folder is created per game

the default prefix location for heroic is

i doubt it was the "same" result, always post a new log after a setting change. try the prefix thing first, though

wine isn't the issue, i don't think
maybe it is, but if you want to reinstall it, then use the heroic wine manager
and swap the version to wine-ge-latest in the game settings
