how chelsea boots should fit?

Just got these but I don’t really know if they fit well. I have flat feet and also they are wide feet. These boots kind of collapse at the arch as you can see, as they are too narrow for my feet. They are probably still comfortable (soft leather) but I’m wondering if I should return these and find a more suitable pair for me. Chelsea boots are everywhere in London and a staple, so this isn’t hard to find by any means.

Solovair dealer boots or blundstones could be an option for you. Blundstone half sizes are the same length as the full size before but wider so you could go for one of those, although Blunnies are already pretty wide.

Thanks mate. Yeah I will look at those. No point wearing something that is clearly not a good fit.

Widest part of your foot (forefoot) should match up with the widest part of the boot. as chelseas lack a vamp/laces you should expect a little bit of "roll" when you walk. But checking if your widest part of you foot aligns with the widest part of the boot when your heel against the inside heel of the boot is a good rule of thumb to check for fit

If you're saying the shaft of the boot is too wide... thats normal for elasticated boots. as how else are you going to put on/off?

I have some chelsea boots which have closer fitting shafts versus not. Depends on the boot. It's not a bad thing per se

Not really shaft. It’s the arch area. If you look at my foot compared to the sole of the boot you will see how much winder my mid foot is than the boot
