Launch fail (macOS, CX 23.6)
New/clean install of Heroic and CX
I can install anything from GOG/Epic/Amazon, but none will launch. No error message. (Logs should be attached)

p.s. Yes, I know the logs show a SCUMMVM title and I can run it natively. It's just the fastest to download repeatedly.

PermissionError: [Errno 13] Permission denied: '/Users/harry/Games/Heroic/Beneath a Steel Sky/ScummVM/scummvm.exe' seems like some permissions issue

Will get back to you. I nuked everything for a clean slate. Need to reinstall "something".
Well, that was a fail. Thimbleweed Park - got a shader compilation error upon game launch. Not sure if that's progress or what. Will try another.

hmmm I'm not sure what to try, I'd bet is all related to that permissions issue but I don't know what to try, maybe it's some crossover config? since gogdl/legendary/nile can write to the disc installing games, but then when you need crossover to launch them it fails

Did some additional poking... if I swich from CX23.6 to Wine Crossover 22.1.1, they all launch.
BASS launches but crashes, Foxtales runs. Thimbleweed complains about windows version.q
I would guess it is CX23.6 specific? (I can work around it, using the built in 22.1.1). I can do more digging if you want.

I'm not really a mac user so I wouldn't know how to help or what to try to debug it better haha
I don't think it hurts to share whatever you find if you fully solve this eventually in case someone finds this thread

Anything more than "GOG and Amazon may generate errors using CX23.6. Try switching to Wine 22.1.1" is beyond my abilities. 🙂

Almost no tutorials online mentioned this, but I was able to at least get Epic Games launcher games to load by installing the Epic Games store crosstie in the heroic bottle in cx 23.6. Select the heroic bottle, and on the right side click on install into bottle and search for epic games. I haven't done any GOG but I imagine it could be the same thing.
