I don't know if I've ever been convinced of something by someone yelling from a megaphone- the conversations and giving leaflets seemed pretty good though
I'm in touch with Thomasina from the BBC, she wants to cover PauseAI in a story about the summit. I've told her about the protest of course and sent her the press release. I told her she could meet you at the protest, not sure if she'll be there though. She wants to ask me some questions tomorrow.
Joep I saw a message from you asking about timings(?) - the main protest window tomorrow will probably be 9am till 12pm, but we'll be there before and after (7.30am - beyond 1pm probably)
Our main window of protest is *9am until midday tomorrow at Bletchley Park* (exact location tbc), but we’ll be there before and after that window too.
Please sign up on Mixily (and Facebook) if you’re coming (although you don’t need to sign up to come to the protest): https://pauseai.info/2023-november-uk
If you want a lift in the minibus from London, you need to have signed up on the Mixily form and stated that you want a lift in the RSVP section. Meet at 7.40am sharp at the south west corner of Argyle Square, King’s Cross, London, WC1H 8AP to arrive at Bletchley c9.30am – we’ll try not to stop en route.
We’ll have placards, signs and banners; we’ll deliver speeches; we’ll talk to the press, passers-by and hopefully some summit attendees; we may even do some chants! (Have a think about good chants)
Around midday or 1pm we’ll have lunch in Bletchley Park; if you want to return to London from Bletchley station, we’ll pay for your ticket home.
