Sport coat too long?
Is this jacket too long? Sometimes I feel like it is, sometimes I think it’s fine.

On the longer side but imo it looks nice

It may be on the long side. If you're wearing it casually with jeans, and you like it, then ... go for it, it doesn't seem bad

Yes, I know. But once I saw a video from The Armoury’s YT channel where Mark says that jacket/trousers ratio should roughly be 1/1. It feels here that the jacket is longer than my lower half, even though I supposedly have relatively long legs.

The way I do a quick fit check from the back is I grab the hem at the rear, and bring it forward until it's touching my butt. If the hem comes down to just where the butt meets the thighs, that's pretty much perfect. A little higher or a little lower is fine. To me yours looks like it might be about an inch longer than that but it's a little hard to tell. (Of course curving the hem means it hangs a tad lower than when you're testing it this way.)

Mark usually has great videos but I don’t get why that one doesn’t show the whole fit. Seeing from the crotch up is kind of useless in this context lol. Plus, the 50/50 rule doesn’t work as well for people with long torsos and short legs (like myself).
