Fortnite doubled in size
I first installed fortnite in a wrong drive (C:), i noticed this and cancelled the download, it was 32 gb in size, after choosing the correct path it now wants to download 69 gbs of files, i've tried resetting the cache and heroic, changing the path back, etc. doesn't go back down to 32 gb. I'm using windows 10.

Did you try clearing Heroic cache?
optimistic-goldOP•2y ago
yes
both cache and resetting heroic

Then you would likely want to look at Heroic logs to see what it actually wants to download there
Eg two copies somehow or just UI reporting nonsense

one sec
im gonna try something
so, im gonna press download
and then check logs right?

(18:01:03) DEBUG: [Legendary]: Using cached install infoI don't use Windows or encountered that problem but this is probably the issue Maybe pass
cleanup
to Legendary?optimistic-goldOP•2y ago
ok, how can i do that?
like do i reinstall or smt?
rising-crimson•2y ago
You don't reinstall but use Legendary seperately with that option passed.
https://github.com/derrod/legendary#usage
Then go back to whatever you're doing with Heroic but mine is just an assumption that it might be a legendary issue
Someone like @Linguin would know better

not sure what's going on here
is it new season or something? Could it be that they changed SDL config?

I clicked the install button for fornite and it shows those numbers (69Gb to download)
that seem's to be the correct value
maybe the 30gb value was wrong?
I'd suggest comparing the download size between heroic and the official epic launcher, if they are different I think that's something to report to legendary since we don't calculate the download size, legendary reads that from the game manifest
optimistic-goldOP•2y ago
nope
can confirm i downloaded it using legendary
only downloaded 32 gb
and its working once imported to heroic
Tutorial win 10: Download legendary, open legendary.exe. once booted into cmd type legendary.exe install Fortnite --base-path desiredinstallationpathhere
thats it
