Quality on Dickies 874 Trousers

See title. How comfortable are the 874s with the 65/35 blend? Do they run hot/sweaty? Do they collect lint? Any other problems one might not be expecting?

I haven't had any problems with any of the dickies pants that I've owned in that blend. They're perfectly comfortable, don't run too hot or collect lint in my experience. The fabric does have a certain "shiny" look to it, especially when the pants are new.

I have one too and I find it well balanced between slim and regular cut

Love my Dickies 874, I agree that they have a nice fit! They are also hard wearing and very wrinkle resistant! The black ones do get a bit dull after a while! Would rather get them in sand / beige / green / khaki.

I’ve never actually had any pants with a significant non-natural proportion of material, so it’s good to know that this isn’t particularly worrisome.

Yeah, it’s honestly completely fine! My 874 are probably the trousers that I wear the most!

The fabric is pretty scratchy in my experience

you loose the stiffness of the trousers after 1 or 2 washes.

I now ordered some in my usual size as well as one up (so I can wear them a bit higher) to see how they are.

They are pretty common on eBay or Vinted

Yeah but I wanna figure out my size in a way where I can make reliable returns.

a lot of local stores sell dickies unless you're in a more remote area

I have a few pairs of 874 since I use them for work. After about a year the seam on the outer part of the leg began to pop. They fade rather quickly and they get looser over time.

So mine arrived today and they’re pretty neat! I can see myself wearing them a lot. I went up to the next full size though.

I got a beige and an olive, they’re pretty nice.

in my experience they do actually run kinda hot in the summer. they're not very breathable, kind of on purpose. and then as they break in and get thinner and looser, they can be a little chilly in the dead of winter. to me the ideal time to wear them are from around March - June and Sept - December also since the QC isn't great (again this is all part of the charm, really) some pairs do pill but that's an easy fix
