egress cost is showing up again?

I expected that the egress cost would be 100% absorbed for the entire month and 50% for the next month, but a few days later, since the egress cost disappeared, it is showing up again in my app.

40e44f3c-0508-45c6-b255-a4558921d6f5 I can see the discount is applied but I don't understand why it is applied in the subtotal/current and not in the project usage... after all my current usage should be what I'm going to pay...

I think it's because the Current Usage is meant to purely reflect how much you've used in terms of cost, not how much you'll pay, that's why it's called Current Usage and not Current Bill and why it also doesn't include your "seats" cost because that wouldn't really fall under project usage Although I can totally see how that can be misleading, I think a cool workaround would be for railway to add a Current Bill inbetween Current Usage and Estimated Bill to make it clear that Current Usage isn't supposed to show the Current Bill or maybe I'm completely wrong idk, this is just what I think about it

Also I noticed something, when I subscribed to the Team plan I paid $20, that should include the monthly subscription from 12 oct to next month right? If that one was paid upfront, why it is showing up in the Current bill sum?

Hi there! Christian from the Railway team here 👋 Thank you for flagging this. A couple of things: - The usage limit gauge UI currently does not factor in the Egress discount, but the actual usage limit does, so your apps will not be paused until you hit your usage limit (after the Egress discount). We're updating the UI, which should be reflected within the next day. - On your question about why Current Usage and Current Bill does not match, usage does not include the subscription cost for seats, whereas your current bill will. - You're correct in that seats are charged at the beginning of a billing period (so on Oct 13, you were billed for the subscription for Oct 13-Nov 13), and that usage is charged at the end of the billing period. Your next bill will include your usage for the current billing cycle (Oct 13-Nov-13) and your Pro subscription fee for the next cycle (Nov 13-Dec 13). That's what's included here

Should be done! 😄 @ENT3I <3 can you confirm when you have a sec?

Looks like it’s factoring in egress correctly now current usage is still way off looks like it’s still factoring in egress and not team costs very convoluted

Agreed that the Current Usage box is off @fp could you take a look, please? Current usage will not include Member Seat costs as Usage and Seats are two different billing components. For example, if you set a usage limit, you'd want your app to be shut down when your app has used your set amount of resources, not because you added an additional member to your team

How's the current usage off? Isn't it mem + cpu + egress + disk*? The discount/coupon is separate from the usage.

Maybe I didn't explained myself properly But I think the main point which is the discount was being applied to the limit is fixed
