Issues with domain / dns / cloudflare
Hi,
First of all, I do not come from a tech background but I do manage to somewhat understand stuff. Long story short I have been working on a startup project and hired a friend to help me with developping the website.
Now i have bought a domain (a while ago to be honest): GrailCavern.com from google domains.
this domain was previously "linked" to a wordpress website that I hosted on hostinger.
Now I want to "link" this domain to my railway.app project:
grailcavern.up.railway.app
It didn't work until like yesterday evening because my friend said that all that was need was to add www.grailcavern.com to trusted_origins
1st thing: I don't know where this is and somehow yesterday evening the issue resolved itself (I think that perhaps he did it) ?
But this morning nothing worked and I kept getting this error (first picture).
Then I went on google and tried to follow this tutorial:
https://postulate.us/@samsonzhang/postulate/p/2022-08-17-Deploying-to-custom-Google-Domain-oqJpcTW46qVU7vD4KFdyVx
and now this happens (second photo):

Hi sorry again to bother
but it now seems that on phones the website doesn't work
only on desktop
now this happens:
screenshots from google (first one)
safari (next two)
but on desktop now the website seems fine I guess ?
oh actually on desktop this does it if I type down www.grailcavern.com
not if I write grailcavern.com
and this is my current dns settings:
send me a link to your site please
grailcavern.com
works fine for me, you're just experiencing cache, it will work itself out
Hi, does the www.grailcavern.com works for you too ?
because for me it says "Your connection is not private
Attackers might be trying to steal your information from www.grailcavern.com (for example, passwords, messages or credit cards). Learn more
NET::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID"
works fine for me too
website looks awesome btw
works fine for me too
no way, same here
oh that's so weird that when I write www.grailcavern.com it goes to https://www.grailcavern.com and therefore ends up like:
"Your connection is not private
Attackers might be trying to steal your information from www.grailcavern.com (for example, passwords, messages or credit cards). Learn more
NET::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID"
thank you so much for the compliments guys
no problem π
do you think that the https://www.grailcavern.com "privacy" issue will be sorted at some point by itself ?
do you have the www subdomain in railway?
because the www subdomain would need to be in railway and in cloudflare
