I think it can look great if it’s a loose pant like the uniqlo loose pleated pants
buuuut idt think the silhouette really works with a slimmer pair
I like hoodie, with wool pants and boots its like a mix or casual and formal

The wool trousers was flannel and it helped dressed down
Havent seen a worsted one tho
It doesn’t look to great because my clothes aren’t neatly ironed but hope in gives an idea I will wear boots with it too

At first glance it just looks like oddly shaped sweatpants. So you don't get the contrast. If you look carefully and you realize the contrast you just get formality mismatch. Wool slacks, peeking tshirt, hoodie? Oddball. My 2c

Out of curiosity what would be a contrast of smart/casual since you said it’s a formality mismatch I kinda feel like that’s the whole thing of smart/casual mix. Like an overcoat/hoodie, shirt, trousers and bomber jacket and hoodie with a shirt underneath.

I went into an argument about mixing up like that with another member when the reddit sub was regular a few years back

I find it hard to mix a dress trousers straight up with hoodie

The colors and the tee underneath aren't really working in your favor here. I think it can be done, but sweats with trousers is a choice and is going to need the right shoes and other layers and such to get it to be cohesive
Would you say grey wool trousers? Or even These brown trousers? If not what colour would you recommend? And for shoes I normally wear black boots or converse
