CP2077 hard freezes
My game freezes very frequently at some locations on the map or in missions does anyone know a fix for this?

update your wine version and see if that helps
use the wine manager in heroic, refresh that page, download the "latest"
backup your saves, just in case, then change to latest
don't use proton

after i verified and repaired the files it ran a little longer into the mission but still crashed

this is probably a driver bug
Somewhat of a sidenote, but I've heard that the 545 drivers have some issues and rolling back to 535 is a good idea. Is this actually true? If it is, would this maybe help here?

Both true and wrong.
It fixes some xid 109 issues which mostly vkd3d-proton games hits, it has a weirdly broken Wayland support that causes new issues.
On X, 545 is the driver that should be used

Cyberpunk 2077 1.62 , 1.63 crashes
Confirming that the 545.29.02 driver works and resolves the issue completely. Loading saves works, as does the corpo start. All good here!

Which is exactly what 545 solves
