Models can be moved while selection tool is inactive

Imported models can be grabbed simply by intersecting. This makes it very difficult to keep them in place, which is a problem when they are major scene elements that everything else is relative to. Particularly when there's multiple brush strokes and images tied to a model. This behavior does not apply to brush strokes.
The grab action may be related to a right finger trigger press, as I usually notice it when scaling the scene.

Do you use the Pin tool? That's intended to solve this problem I'd really hate to make it harder to move things - I use that a lot and it's nice to not have to switch to the select tool.

Unfortunately the pin tool is tied to the thumbstick on the right controller panel, Which is something that I can't see (rift S). Consequently, not only can I not actively use the pin tool, from time to time I accidentally trigger it. Even when it did work, I found the pin tool really fiddly and often quite difficult to unpin, although perhaps that's improved. My best workaround is to group objects, but images are really thin and are highly subject to small alignment changes (which is important if aligning them to a flat surface), [this also surfaces on reload sometimes and may be related to the mirror issue] Any time the model is used as a large scene feature, it's incredibly easy to bump it. Might not be as large of a problem if that was in the undo stack, but it's not. This means re-alignment becomes necessary. Sometimes not a major issue, and other times it's keyed to a a lot of other pieces.
Usage example 1: an interior space with images on the walls. Have maybe 20 of them or so around the area and then incidentally grab the model while reaching for a panel or placing the 21st image. Usage example 2: I've imported a landscape. I have a character with a lot of brush strokes that is posed in association with the landscape/background/scene, several trees, perhaps several of them. Everything is exactly where I want it for the film path. Oh look, the model moved and now needs to be aligned with a large number of objects in 3d space (a bit tricky).

OK. There's several different things to unpick here. (Shame forums posts can't also have threads!). I'll number them to try and keep track. 1.

The Quick Tools Panel ( https://docs.openbrush.app/user-guide/using-the-open-brush-tools-quick-tools-and-menu-panels#the-quick-tools-panel ) has got the Pin Tool as one of it's 6 shortcuts. However that's accessed using the B button usually. If that's different on the Rift S then it's probably a bug. But the standard way to access the Pin Tool is via the Labs Panel: https://docs.openbrush.app/user-guide/using-the-open-brush-tools-quick-tools-and-menu-panels/labs-panel 2. Accidentally moving things - is this not being recorded in the undo stack? If so - that's a bug. All user actions that modify the sketch should be undoable 3. Things shifting when you reopen a sketch. Definitely a bug. I think we have this reported elsewhere. If you've got further detail to help with that then post in the relevant place So - taking these three points out of the equation, what's left? Layers should also help - you can't select or move things that aren't on the current layer. Does that work as intended?

1. Can't access.
Yes, I need to familiarize myself with layers and paths. Had issues with implementation last time I tried it (presumably reported, although possible that I didn't have pc access at the time) unsure if resolved, haven't got back to it) as I recall, involved ability to isolate layers, would need to look at it again update: ok there's a deep menu which has the pin tool on it as well, found it that helps a lot
