PC Stutter

Okay realistally, what kind of performance decrease can i expect moving my R9 5900x and 3080 from the Crosshair VIII Dark Hero X570S mobo to a B450 Tomahawk? Cause the Asus mobo is open box so im thinking something is faulty perhaps.

I notice the stutters in game occasionally as well, especially GTA 5 here recently. This has been going on for quite awhile so no graphics driver update has fixed it. So my only thought was to see what the performance hit would be if i used my old mobo until i can afford a new one

you might be running into the TPM stuttering issue that apparently still present on am4 boards. have you updated your bios at all recently

Could also be that the VRM's on the B450 board are worse than the X570 board you had before. Best to use something like HWInfo64 and check the all the temps to see if they are throttling under load And if you haven't already you should update the BIOS to the latest version and install the latest chipset drivers

When you update the graphics drivers, do you use DDU in safe mode to clean out the current drivers + turn off windows auto-installing drivers, then install the newest Nvidia drivers? Are you on the latest BIOS for your board? Did you install the latest chipset drivers?

Anyone know why my pc does this? Almost every day I have to flip the psu switch off for 2-3 seconds and flip it back for my pc to be able to turn on
