Parametric guide shapes: cone, torus etc

Torus, cylinder, triangle, cone with the ability to be stretched like the current guides. Would be cool where you could hollow the thickness of each of these guides too, similar to sculpting programs like modeler with a slider.

Although not a primative, basic architectural shapes like Arches would be cool too

👆example from modeler for hollowing the primative and varying the thickness of the shape.

Most of this is handled in the 3d shapes branch although that does have a more complex UI around it. Plus I still haven't figured out how to get dynamically generated concave mesh colliders working: https://docs.openbrush.app/alternate-and-experimental-builds/3d-shapes I've also got work in progress on a branch that implements SDF guides - that will support concave shapes once I get around to finishing it: https://github.com/icosa-gallery/open-brush/tree/feature%2Fsdf-guides One thing mentioned elsewhere that might mitigate the lack of concave guides is the ability to paint on the inside of a guide...

Yes but thinking of it as a guide. The 3d shapes build is great but think it gets too overwhelming because it’s a lot. The standard ones would be perfect too now that the snap is working better

Yeah but as the functionality is mostly already there with 3D shapes - I'd rather just cleanup and simplify the UI

And the 3d guide build pops out a shape that can’t be manipulated in scene which limits the use. Ex once you place it in scene you can’t resize it esp because x,y,z is constant for resizing once placed

yeah - i'd love direct manipulation controls for parametric shapes. @Seethrough you like making complex UIs. 😄

Are you trying it out? xD
