28m in US in need ofa wardrobe overhaul
I have begun to realize my attitude towards fashion and its functionality has shifted a lot throughout the years. In college I delved deep in to r/mfa and wore a lot of button up with ties. As I realized I looked like a dork I began to dress according to the basic bastard. This held up well through college and into post grad life.
As I’ve grown and interests have changed I have started wearing more outdoorsy and functional clothes as I’ve begun spending significantly more time in the outdoors.. The style has been described as granola and even a little dirtbag esque. A lot is similar to what is seen in the NPR/Subarucore inspo album. I am very happy with my current style because I think it include much of personality and life focus. As I’ve grown as a professional and am teetering upon my 30’s and becoming a father I would like to see my wardrobe elevate. I want to be able to to meet my business casual wardrobe requirements while still retaining the outdoors style and personality. I really don’t know where to begin with this but I have around $1000.
One of the first items I’m looking to purchase are a pair of Blundstones All Terrain boots in all black. What clothes would you recommend I purchase?
In terms of stature I am 6’2 around 230.

Biz caz is pretty nebulous. Can you wear jeans? Sneakers?
I recommend not spending the $1000 all at once. If you have inspo just copying some fits you like is a good way to start
Post fit pics. It takes courage, but it is really, really effective in my experience. If you have something you like, and want suggestions for new pieces to wear with it, post in styling suggestions.
