It is still undecided actually, we wanted to get this out as quickly as we could as there were many people requesting it so that meant we haven't decided all the details just yet.
But it will be a good offer and of course less than the initial perpetual license price 🙂

I asked because if i make comparison between it and 10$ or maybe first year must pay 20$
it's almost same but in 1 fees
so I don't know what is good for me
already Dash not all my tools Monthly or yearly
i have other plugins must pay for all every Month or every year ...
for me 10$ every Month is good for now ..

Yearly subscribers pay $190 a year, so perpetual license holders will always pay less than them & obviously less than the $230 perpetual license process. Smaller companies in this industry charge anywhere from 20-65% of the original perpetual license price each year - depending on workload, overhead, & labor costs. I think you should expect to pay around 45-65% yearly maintenance with Dash because of how much work goes into keeping up with industry-wide updates. Also, perpetual license holders oftentimes enjoy price increase protection as the software grows as well for a number of years, so there is a lot of mileage value in it even at higher-end percentage costs. 🙂

There is a crucial question i need to ask about the perpetual license and yeah i tried to browse on questions prior.
UE is always updating, what if I have already finished my maintenance period for 1 year (and did not update for maintenance) and then unreal engine updates new engine version that is not compatible with my current dash version. Will i get a free update specifically only to get it to work with the latest and compatible ue version but without new features (since i did not update a new maintenance)? or will i get stuck with the last version of unreal engine where my license permits? thanks

Yes you would need to get another maintenance period to use Dash with UE versions that came out after your maintenance period ended.
This was the main reason we thought it would be hard to offer a perpetual plan, as UE updates regularly, a subscription model for Dash makes more sense.
It is actually the whole perpetual plan that is a holiday special, as we are trying it out and seeing what the community thinks of it, if people do not like it, we may not sell it anymore. So it is like a little test period right now. And ofc if one gets it when it is available they will keep their perpetual plan and we will sell maintenance to those in the future as well.
And regarding the date of availability, we are not actually sure, the initial plan is to have it exist until end of December and then we will evaluate and see how we continue.

Thanks for clearing that out. I think adding that to the description about that on the website might clear some people out and possiblyavoid repetitive questions. hehe But its quite fair and good especially for those using it for work and possibly for hobbyist like me. Still contemplating which plan is the best for me as i tend to jump off to the latest ue versions after the first hotfix. hehe thanks again.

Perhaps! We will at least evaluate it by then and decide how we move forward, continue to offer it or remove that option from the website.
