Transfer Heroic setup to new steam deck
Hello, i've searched a bit but haven't found a definitive answer : i would like to transfer all my epic & gog games from a deck (og) to another (oled)
I have a lot of config that i would like to preserve : prefixes tweaks, cloud saves or syncthing folders when not available, etc...
And I don't want to open them to swap internal SSDs.
All the games and prefixes are already on a SD card, that the new deck will use.
Is there a chance that copying a few files/folders from Heroic handle that without too much trouble ?
Which folder(s) would that be ?

you could copy over the
prefixes folder if you want to copy prefixes and saves (that live inside the prefix)
you can also copy configuration files from heroic's config directory (you can go to settings > logs > open log file in folder to see where's your config folder in the 2 systems)
also, some games store saves outside the prefix (like in your system's Documents folder for example), so you have to consider that too

I received my oled deck, and can confirm that copying the folder
/home/.var/app/com.heroicgameslauncher.ghl did the trick !
Details :
Copied the folder above from old deck to sd card.
On the new deck, installed heroic with Discover, launched it once.
Inserted sd card from prevous deck containing my prefixes and games
Copied folder from sd card to destination on new deck, overwritting everything.
Launched heroic : it's immediately connected to epic/gog/amazon, and all games are here !
Launched a few of them and it seems ok.
Just need to add them back in steam.
