It looks like it may be trying to open a browser for authentication. Did you run this from desktop mode?

it says its using 8-22. which should i use

24 is out, if you hit the refresh button inside of heroic it will show more up to date versions
in the wine manager

Then run it from desktop mode
It won’t be able to call a browser from game mode

always try to make games run in desktop mode first, specially Epic games because of the browser authentication
