DI've been searching for the current situation with Rhino support for xPlane, and I think I'm right in saying "not yet", but it's imminent ?
I'm a new user and I'm absolutely blown away with how it works in MsFS. The "feel" of the stick is incredible, even better than my Brunner Yoke.
When I first powered it up and saw the stick slam forward, then felt the "weight" of the elevators, whilst looking on screen at the external view, it was taking immersion to the next level !

NNobody is actively working on it afaik. I’ve looked into it but haven’t done more than exploratory analysis of what it would take.
XPlane provides UDP streamable telemetry and “all it would take” is to write a module for TelemFFB to receive and parse the telemetry. However, in all the research I did, it appears that the UDP stream is not a reliable means to develop against as it is always being changed and updated with no warning or notification from Laminar.

That's surprising, (to a non-techie like me), the Rhino stick is probably most sophisticated flight sim addon I've ever owned, and the realism uplift is even beyond my expectations. Not only the actual "feel" of the varying pressure on the control surfaces, but even the subtle engine vibrations.
Given that the most "dedicated" flight simmers seem to prefer the flight characteristics of xPlane over MsFS, I would have thought support for that would be a priority, despite the drawback of Laminar making it a moving target !
I can just imagine how much the Rhino stick would add to setups like this Spit (not mine, unfortunately...)

Maybe telemffb modified for Xplane - could use a similar approach ( Code / protocols) like xpforce to provide similar feel & feedback - to the controls, am sure it would be better than Xpforce . Don’t know if it’s possible though @_gunzablazin

NOnce the telemetry is available to TelemFFB, all of the functions that are currently in the MSFS module could be reused to provide the dynamic forces.

cheers DExcuse my slow uptake on these things, but does that mean that xpForce currently enables some forcefeedback functionality with the Rhino stick and xPlane ?
I do already posess a licensed copy of xpForce which I had orignally used with my Sidewinder FF2. I had tried it with the Rhino, and was able to select it in the dropdown list of hardware, but I couldn't get a peep out of it. Am I once again missing some vital setting ?

NThere’s some other stuff cooking for TelemFFB currently. Once that’s done I plan to look again at xp12 but can’t promise anything

DI'm lucky, I managaed to get a secondhand Brunner yoke for quite a reasonable price, (compared to new anyway !) Like the Rhino stick, the addition of forces is really worthwhile for the expense. It works fine with MsFS and xPlane too, via it's own interface prog.
DI'm still having no joy with xpForce and xPlane. I tried rescan, but no luck.
The xp plugin is loading ok into xplane, and gives me access to the settings window, and in that I can click the dropdown and move it from vJoy to Rhino FF, but when I go to the feedback tab, the joystick box is greyed out.
Other symptoms I've noticed are that there is an orange strip acroos the top of the xplane window with the text "vjoy is enabled".
Also, when I try running the DXDiag tester prog mentioned in the xpForce user guide, it doesn't find the Rhino joystick.

原Aye to the XP FFB support for VPForce! Perhaps XP currently ALREADY has far greater numbers of top notch (I mean the REAL top notch)aircraft that requires a good FFB support to get a full experience, i.e. GA aircraft from TorqueSim/RearSimGear, Hotstart, AFL, LES, etc, Helos, or even FF 757/767 and the their WIP 777/787 etc..whereas in the MSFS, perhaps just the recently released A2A Comanche, or perhaps those from PMDG and the Leonardo Maddogs, and other aircraft from A2A or PMDG won't see the light of the day for quite a while. I mean, others are good, but maybe I won't feel that much regret if they doesn't have a top notch FFB experience..
(no offense but it's a shame that Austin doesn't put good FFB support for consumer market at the top of the todo list yet, while always "boasting" around about his "professionalitysimulatority" over other platforms(well, part of it is true tho) )
