Any drawbacks? is 20cm extension too much?

I would say 20cm would be too tall, at least for what I prefer The cutout for the stick is good to have, but can't be fully exploited as the bar for the mounting prevents the stick from being mounted farther back than about level with the front of the seat. Still better than no cutout, as then it would have to be mounted farther forward to allow it to be pulled back

I'm using it with a Virpil Alpha stick

Awesome man, thanks for the heads up. I have the same stick and both the 10/20 cm extensions. I was wondering if you could potentially just get a longer framing extrusion so you could set the rhino lower… you’d get more use out of the cutout at max deflection as well. Honestly, with your current setup - that looks very comfortable.

If it was lower it would interfer with the swiveling of the chair. But if you have the chair raised higher, or have locked off the swivel, then I guess you could lower it a bit more

Yeah, there seems to be just a tad bit of play there that you could mess with. I like the seat lower based on how I use my rudders. Thank you for sharing these pics - This is probably what I’ll go with whenever my preorder comes up … only 500 + units to go lol

I don't think you want to use the entire range of the stick with a 20cm extension, it would require massive movement to get it full front to back. Even I have limited the movement, so I don't have to move the stick as much (and so it won't interfere with my MFDs in front) The Rhino has a huge angle of movement compared to most other sticks. And with extensions it becomes massive

Very fair point, like I said, that 10cm extension looks good. I have the angled connector that I use for my collective, that could help bring the stick back a bit too

Yes, I think 10cm is about perfect height, with the Rhino in the position it has in my setup. But it could have been a little bit farther back. Maybe with a S-shaped extension, but I haven't seen a 10cm S-shaped one But that is nitpicking. It is clearly the best positioning of any stick setup I've tried 🙂

I wonder if you could use something like this.

Might have to add some amount of extension to the base to clear the seat and then this angled mount Like a 5cm extension or something

Maybe... But I think that would be too much, seems it goes 15cm or so horizontally

Actually one of these might make it perfect: https://qr4rigs.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=59

Wow yes, that is perfect Saving that page for sure 5 cm offset would probably do the trick, you think?

Yes, I think that would be ideal

Just to show stick position when I'm sitting. It's quite close to ideal 🙂
