Barbour + liner
I’m looking for ideas what mid layer to wear between a sweater and a beaufort to make it warm enough for temperatures around 0C/30F.
Do you wear liner vests, sleeved liners? Any specific model which looks good with the coat? (I have the olive version)
(I’m aware that barbour sells zip-in liners, but I’m thinking something which is not restricted to this one coat.)

I usually wear a lightweight down jacket underneath my outer jacket, keeps me nice and toasty well below 0°C.
I also have a Carhartt vest that I really like as a secondary layer. If I then also wear Uniqlos heattech long t-shirt underneath my sweater I‘m fully prepared for cold winter days.
The zip-in liner also doubles as a vest, FYI. Though mine looks a little snug on its own, but is fine with the jacket.
What do you think of this milsurp liner, would it work?
Yeah, definitely! Looks great as a middle layer, just as it was intended to be used!
I actually have the one from Uniqlo that was inspired by the OG milsurp liner.
This one has the 'do not remove this label' on the back of it. I wonder if I could also wear this as a liner jacket if I do remove the label.
My other choice is a czech military liner I found available. I'd like to buy one of them, but not sure which one I should choose.
You can also find ones that don’t have the label on the back!
Both look nice, though for me personally, the lack of pockets is something that I don’t like about these original military liners.
I grabbed the former, hope I’ll like it. (It actually has pockets if turned inside out. Maybe the other one, too, idk)
Good choice imo. I have the warm pile liner and it's way too cold for 0°C, maybe up to 5 lowest. The other liners are even less useful for keeping warm.
Thanks @Küther! I can let you know later how this one performs if interested
