Could I make a 63" tie work as 5'11 guy?

Title... thinking of buying a used, nice tie online but it's quite long. I'm tall but not that tall. Normal 15"ish neck size and not huge belly.

I was adviced to go four in hand with grenadine, at most a double four in hand The long thinner end u can tuck into your shirt between buttons Along the placket Or u can just leave it out longer than the wider end Still 63 is really long imo Grenadine stretch a lot too

Grenadine makes thicker knots. Do a half windsor or another knot that's bigger than the standard four in hand. That will probably get you a bit of extra length taken in. If that's not enough, ye olde trick is to tuck in the entire tie into your pants or to tuck in the thin end into your shirt in between two buttons

I’ll die before I wear a Windsor knot again (probably)

Bold words, but unlikely to find yourself facing the choice ;)

I just haven’t seen a Windsor that was well proportioned. But I like a smaller knot generally

Double four in hand is what I use for a lot of these really long ties. But you can get them shortened if you think it's worth it.
