Fortnite refuses to launch after update

this error appears after downloading the latest update, i've already tried repairing.

for some reason fortnite doesn't like heroic I can repro this on linux as well there was another game that was also able to detect that it wasn't EGL

might be fixable but we have to find what mechanisim they use to detect this
