Fortnite error after update
I tried logging in, logging out, get this error after verifying and repairing, and the eror is not fixed

So the update was released around 10 hours ago, but servers were down
Oh i forgot, i ran the game after the update in the morning and it worked
but i just came back, and opened the pc, so the issue is just occurring right now.

So i tried launching the game, i got the error multiple times, i logged out and in multiple times hoping it would work, it didnt.
I figured i'd restart but it didnt help either
so Yea, i restarted around 15m ago

Considering the servers were unstable not too long ago, your best bet might just be waiting a bit
The error you were getting above is something very strange. Epic sent game metadata for this game (which is more than they did for me just now, so that's good I guess?), but that data was lacking a version field. This usually only happens for games not managed by the Epic Games Launcher (e.g. Ubisoft/EA titles installed & launched through Ubisoft Connect / EA app)

we don't know if it's on heroic's side or fortnite's side without more data / time
if it continues to happen tomorrow and the next day, let us know and post new heroic logs with each update
