Job Details
Role: Senior Hadoop Administrator
Responsibilities:
Create, manage, and migrate Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) clusters
Troubleshoot issues with Hadoop clusters
Collaborate with the database, network, and application teams to ensure the high availability and performance of big data applications
Monitor cluster connectivity and performance
Manage and review Hadoop log files
Create and maintain documentation for platform configurations, changes, and issues
Provide support to the engineering team on HDP and CDP cluster-related issues
Maintain security and compliance standards across the platform
Perform backup and recovery tasks
Qualifications:
6+ years of experience in Hadoop administration, including CDP installation, migration, and Active Directory integration
Strong experience and understanding of Hadoop kerberized clusters (with Active Directory), HA setup, and performance tuning
Strong experience with replication using Cloudera Manager and troubleshooting of CDP cluster issues
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Knowledge of Oracle DB and scripting/automation tools such as Python, Shell, or Ansible for cluster setup, backup, data copy, and monitoring is a plus
Preferred Skills:
Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure
Experience with big data technologies such as Spark, Hive, and HBase
Experience with DevOps and CI/CD practices
