What is the consensus about working for companies in same industry?

Generally, you want to avoid working for companies in the same industry because there's a higher chance of cross contamination especially among coworkers who move from one.
With that being said, there has been success stories of people doing it, and there are a lot of situational factors needed to decide if it's for you or not.
If you align with "no", you could be missing out on perfectly good OE friendly companies. ...

If you align with "no", you could be missing out on perfectly good OE friendly companies.
If you align with "Yes", you could be risking your OE situation.
As with all types of "what ifs" do your due dilligence and accept nonzero risks.
