EOS Overlay and Alternate EXE
I am trying to get the Epic Store version of Elder Scrolls Online to work with Heroic on Steam Deck.
I was able to get everything installed and running but it is asking me to log in. On my Windows box, it uses my Epic Store login to authenticate me and does not prompt me to log in. I am assuming that if the EOS Overlay is working under Heroic on the Steam Deck, then it would also not prompt me to log in.
I’ve installed the EOS Overlay, but am using the “Alternate EXE” setting to launch the Bethesda Launcher .exe.
Should the EOS Overlay function work with the “Alternate EXE” setting? I’m not sure how the overlay works and how it starts. I am wondering if the EOS Overlay is installed, whether Heroic may launch the overlay and pass the location of the game exe as an argument to the overlay. In that case, perhaps I need to do the same thing with the Alternate EXE setting.
Any assistance or any information on how the EOS overlay works would be helpful. Thanks.
