game takes too long to launch (genshin impact)

So I installed Genshin for the first time on a newly installed NixOS but when launching the game the launcher takes too long to launch (around 5 mins). I got Fall Guys too but doesn't take that much to launch. I ran Heroic throug the console to get some logs and this is what i got:

Some additional info in the file btw the game doesn't show when I search for it unlike fall guys

some people reported a similar issue here https://discord.com/channels/812703221789097985/1179901028380967052 and it seems to be some connectivity problem you can try the solution someone shared changing your DNS servers to use google's 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

i tried that and it seem like it doesn't work for me, but disabling and re enabling ethernet woks I fixed it, I guess I only tried this fix once and hurried up to post it all I did was to go to ~/.config/heroic/legendaryConfig/legendary/intalled.json looked for the object that has the title Genshin impact then changed the executable attribute to launcher.exe instead of launcher_epic.exe it seams to launch faster now P.S. I still get the epic session expired error in the shop page

you don't need to edit the installed.json file though, you can set an alternative executable file in the game's settings inside heroic (in the advanced tab I think) mentioning that cause I don't know if at some point that file will be updated with the original values (like during an update or something)

ye you're probably right yep we were right it happened today you guys better change the exe path at game settings -> advanced -> select an alternative exe to run, then choose launcher.exe
