Launch a game with another keyboard layout

Hi, I was wondering, is there a way to change a wine setting so that another keyboard layout is used? Some games may have hardcoded keybindings and this would allow to circumvent that and make it easier (possible) to play with a non qwerty keyboard?

currently there's no way to run scripts before a game runs from heroic's ui you may be able to create a custom script to first set the layout and then call the original executable and then set that as an alternative exe for the game

Hello, I am looking to do the same thing. I want to play Cyberpunk, but it default to QWERTY, and changing manually each keybinding is a pain. How would I create a custom script to do what you describe? Thank you! I wanted to create a new post, but this one is pretty recent so...

Reading this again I got confused with running another executable in parallel (like trainers), like this https://discord.com/channels/812703221789097985/1174434385324417035/1174534498801700904 but I'm not sure if the context where that file is executed can actually change your keyboard layout if you have a script that changes your keyboard layout outside heroic then you might want to play with that idea of running a .bat file as an alternative exe for the game

I'll try that. On a side note, I was able to use an other keyboard layout by using the setxkbmap command. However, it does change for the whole system, and I get a warning because I am on Wayland and not on x11. But this is the only things that works
