How does ozempic work?

I've seen this on the news a lot but have no idea what it does.
Solution:
See image, as it helps to understand how it works. Ozempic works by mimicking a naturally occurring hormone. As those hormone levels rise, the molecules go to your brain, telling it you're full. It also slows digestion by increasing the time it takes for food to leave the body. It's quite awesome and be fortunate you have access to it. Figure out the reasons why you're on the fence (fear of injection? fear of change? etc. ), debunk them, and get started this weekend. Just make sure you're watching what you eat and try to walk often....

I tried it for a few months because a local pharmacy made a compound version. Ran $200/month

I'm not entirely sure how much of a difference it made. I had already lost 60 pounds by the time I started using it. But yes, i was a fellow user for a while

You are stabbing yourself, yes. This is true. The fancy version there’s an injector looking thing. The compound version I had was just a straight up syringe.

I got my ozempic from Plushcare and then eventually my primary doc It really helps I was 218 and with ozempic i went down to 206.4. I know a good chunk of that is water weight but it was the most weight i was able to pull off in recent years. Main benefit is that it controls your appetite

I use a concierge doctor. She’s knowledgeable about things like ozempic and found out a local pharmacy was doing compounding.
