favorite brands are eyevan, mr leight, lesca, mykita, matsuda, jacques marie mage, and ahlem!
all of them are really great, only downside is that im very conscious when i wear them bc theyre pricey and i dont want them to get dinged up or dirty
wouldn't say any brands have really let me down, but just a bit disappointing when designer brands outsource their sunglasses to another company like how dries does with linda farrow and isabel marant does with safilo. never get that feeling of the designs having an appearance i relate to the brand
I’m a big sun buddies fan personally. I also don’t get the luxottica hate like yes they’re part of a duopoly but if you like a design just get it. And as someone who owns no luxottica sunglasses it’s not that hard to find alternatives
Another thing is I feel like not a lot of people here wear sunglasses in their waywt and it’s a great accessory
gonna be watching this thread with interest, I've just had to return 3 sunglasses because I just can't seem to find any that fit my face and might have to go to a store to try things out
Really dig my moscot pair https://moscot.com/products/lemtosh-sun

I have 2 pairs off Raybans I got for free with my vision insurance. I don't see any reason to get them at anywhere near full price
Yeah, this is kind of the boat I'm in. I'd like to own one or two really quality pairs of of sunglasses that I can wear with just about any outfit when walking around the city, so I'm keeping an eye out on the brands that get mentioned here
Akila has some really cool frames imo. I also love Brain Dead’s eyewear and classic Ray Ban shapes like the clubmaster
Love brain dead eyewear too
For a more affordable trendy brand I like crap
I hate Luxottica because I used to work at Sunglass Hut and it was traumatic
Love the classic Ray-Ban and Persol shapes though. Some Oakleys are real fun too. Oliver Peoples, Matsuda, and Jacques Marie Mages are currently my favorite brands. Raen makes some dope shapes as well if you’re ballin on a budget.
I have some deus ex machina navigators. I picked them with the help of a friend at an optometrist.
I like bigger sunglasses because they are nicer to be wearing when you are driving or on the snow or other really bright environment.
+1 on Akila for low-mid end. Has a lot of collabs too
Forever a repost
