Make a complete backup?

I read about the database backups and I like how it easy it is.

But is there also a possibility to backup the whole supabase? Like with users, storage, authentication providers, edge functions, and everything else?

No one here would know if it is in the planning. Very rarely do people try to back up s3 file storage though.

Not sure as they are all still separate things. On local your auth settings are in a config file versus on hosted you have to set them each time. You have full access to the database port so can back that and all the data up with standard postgres tools like Psql. Not sure how self host handles storage files. Your edge functions are in source code where you create them.

I do very often backup of my S3 storage using a custom script because I'm scared to mess things up when doing update to my db.

On files one option to protect from accidental deletion is just disconnect the file from the database, but not actually delete or don't delete it until a reasonable time has gone by.

I use a method to decouple the bulk deletes when a user goes away that decouples the file from the owner id then cron task handles deleting later. It is not really set on a delay of a week or anything for checking but that could be done. https://github.com/GaryAustin1/supa-file-helper
