Job Title: Senior Scrum Master
Summary:
This individual will work with the Product and Development Teams to facilitate workflows in a scrum environment to support the Demand Response business of the Client. They will provide subject matter expertise to the product and development teams to identify and fill in blanks in the Agile framework and assist with problem solving and as a resource for training development.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Guides and coaches the Scrum Team on how to use Agile practices and principles to deliver high quality products and services to our customers.
Gets team to a high performing level by recognizing areas of strength and improvement and employing appropriate coaching and development techniques.
Responsible for ensuring Scrum is understood and the team adheres to Scrum theory, practice, and guidelines.
Coaches the Scrum team in self-organization, cross-functional skillset, domain knowledge and communicates effectively, both internally and externally working within the Scrum team.
Works with Scrum Team, as well as internal and external stakeholders, to influence and drive decision making and support organizational project or product teams.
Facilitates and supports all scrum events: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective.
Helps the product owner and development team to achieve customer satisfaction.
Acts as a leader who coaches and supports Agile teams assigned to mainly Business as Usual (BAU) work and to a lesser degree, important department initiatives and applicable portions of corporate projects and initiatives.
Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, AJAX, jQuery and CSS3
Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases and their declarative query languages
Understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
Regularly report status and raise issues/risks as appropriate. Anticipate and adjust for problems and roadblocks while eliminating roadblocks within control.
Collaborate with team members and operational groups to identify and prioritize/reprioritize work when necessary.
Develop strong working relationships with individuals at all levels of company, operations, and IT applications and infrastructure teams.
Self motivated and has the ability to remain focused in a remote environment
Education:
Bachelor Degree from an accredited college or university (Computer Science, MIS, or Engineering preferred) and 4 years of product or project development experience, or 3 years of project development experience on an Agile Team or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
Experience:
Experience facilitating meetings at multiple levels of an organization and a strong understanding of facilitation techniques is a must. Demonstrated knowledge of and a history working with Microsoft products, particularly Azure DevOps.
