dnf duel black screen

Good morning everyone, Epic today gave DNF Duel for free, I downloaded it to play but it has a black screen, has anyone had the same problem?

a browser should popup for you to authorize the access of the game to your epic account until that's done the screen remains black

I connected DNF Duel with Epic when the browser popped up after that the game is still black screen I relaunched, but still black screen

I'd recommend the Flatpak version on anything Debian-based. You'll automatically get updates & get isolated libraries (so Ubuntu's decade-old software isn't an issue)

Either go to "Settings" (sidebar) -> "Log" and select your game, or click "Report a problem running this game" while on the game page

Right, Heroic version is looking better now - You're still using your system Wine (you really should use Wine-GE for anything gaming-related) - Enable DXVK and VKD3D-Proton in the game settings

alright I downloaded the wine GE and enabled it in the game settings and I get another error, now even before opening the game

Yeah I am an aspiring developer so thats the reason I switched to Linux Btw thanks a lot the game works now! Also If I switch desktops the game closes auto lol but still I can play it for now

Enabling "Emulate a virtual desktop" in the Graphics tab of winecfg (that's a button in the game settings) might help with that

Huh, interesting Welp, deleting your Wineprefix (/home/mj/Games/Heroic/Prefixes/DNFDUEL) should at least get it working again

Doing that (deleting the Wineprefix) is generally a safe bet whenever games don't work, although note that your game's save file (and any other data it creates) is stored in the prefix, so that'll also get deleted
