Job Title: Cloud Solution Architect
Location: Austin, TX (Remote work with a preference for Austin area or Texas-based candidates)
Start Date: Approx. 1/22/24
Duration: Initial contract for up to 2,000 hours through 8/31/24, with anticipated extensions for FY 2025.

Job Description:
As a Cloud Solution Architect at Tx Health and Human Services Commission, you'll play a pivotal role in architecting, developing, and re-engineering applications to fully leverage cloud capabilities, preferably AWS. Your responsibilities include defining blueprints, roadmaps, and driving the adoption of cloud-native best practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensure compliance with security standards, and provide technical oversight throughout the implementation lifecycle.
Minimum Requirements:
7 years of hands-on experience in designing and supporting cloud-native applications.
Expertise in cloud platform development, migration, and application security architecture.
Strong development skills in Java, J2EE, HTML5, JavaScript, and UI frameworks/libraries.
Cloud certifications, especially as a Cloud Solutions Architect.
Familiarity with DevOps tools, container technologies, and middleware process orchestration.
Experience with Agile methodologies, microservices architecture, and integration with external systems.
