Threading so we don't take the convo too far in main chat.
It's fine if it's not really the packed level actor gets scattered but its contents right? Changes would be reflected if you change something within PLA. After all they are just instanced meshes as I see it.
Yeah i imagine it would be okay,
What would take place in the outliner?
It would just be scattering the instances right?
Just a scatter instancer like usual.
My thought process on scatting the PLA's was using dash to create PLA's, shelves populated with stuff etc
Tables, usual set dressing things
as i see it, its fine. Will squeeze it in for Jan release.
I feel like it could speed stuff up xD
Rather than just creating a ton of new Static meshes from scatters
On large scope things it should help with the amount of unique draws
Well what you could do now is make your stuff in blueprints and scatter that. You can convert selections to blueprints easily.
I used to use blueprints, But switched in 5 xD
I'm still a ways away from set dressing, Just planning ahead. Being able to use the PLA's as surfaces is huge though.
Roger. If anything extra comes to mind feel free to ping.
yeah man for sure, Do you guys have a place with all the release notes? I got this when it was still GraphN xD

This is an early access build of Dash 1.4.0 right ahead of Xmas! We’ve included a couple of major features we wanted to get some testing on, and there’ll be a lot more as we move from early access to full release in early ...
The physics paint tool is wild btw, Extremely useful tool.
Much better than my old one
:^) if you use it make sure to give feedback! Definitely need it. Few fixes on the way already.
A few features for it and a smaller optimization pass is planned for Jan as well.
Once i get through this last push on assembling all the different variations of a few different building sets ill be looking more into the finer details and pumping the extra detail in.
Small team life, so naturally im swamped
I'll definitely share some of my work in here and a bit of my workflow when these areas are fleshed out more.
Please do!
