Hi very new to this i am looking to try install things throght the termanl on bazzit

when i try to do dnf to even do an update it cant find dnf as a command i know Ubuntu it was apt-get and i see this is a fork of fedora so i thought dnf would work. am i doing something wrong if some one could help thank you

Bazzite is based on Fedora Kinoite (KDE) and Silverblue (GNOME) which use rpm-ostree for package management. Fedora Workstation uses dnf. Generally speaking, I would recommend avoiding layering packages with rpm-ostree unless you absolutely need to and use Flatpaks, AppImages, Nix, Brew, and Distrobox for installing things instead

thank you for letting know . i am just wanting to poke around . i am going to be nuking this distro as i am looking for the best OS to move to especially for NVIDIA GPU would you have any suggestions i have an nvida RTX A2000 gpu in my laptop

We have NVIDIA images if you're interested. Otherwise, Nobara is a great choice

I am using the nvidia build but the GPU not getting detected right it works it's iffy if that makes sense like I can't see any info about it or even see it in about system but it does work when play games I think might be the type of graphics not the driver
