Anyone got a fragrance they would recommend that's safe to wear in the office?

Soap and water.
Deodorant
What do you mean by "safe to wear in the office"?
Not too overpowering or obnoxious
I can give a ton of recommendations, fragrances were my obsession before fashion, been wearing them for over 30 years now.
A couple of questions:
1: Whats your budget?
2: What are some fragrance notes you like?
3: What are the notes you dislike?
4: What are some fragrances you've worn and liked?
@arenstam if you want something not too expensive and has quite the unique but pleasant scent, you can try Calvin Klein One shock for men
bottle looks like this
Just getting into it so answer to most of your questions are "I don't know", but budget is roughly £100-125 a bottle I suppose
Going shopping next weekend to somewhere that actually has proper shops to see if there's any samples etc
Ok, I can't be of too much help then, but when you go out shopping try and smell any of these:
Bleu de Chanel Eau de Parfums
Prada Luna Rossa
Versace Dylan Blue
Aqua di Gio Parfum
Ralph Lauren Polo Cologne Intense
Dior Homme
Dior Homme Cologne
Dior Homme Sport
Burberry Hero Eau de Parfum (not the eau de toilette)
Hermes Terre D'Hermes Intense Vetiver
Tom Ford Grey Vetyver
These are all fairly common and pretty "work safe". You might not fall in love with any of them but try and smell them and let me know what you like/don't like about them
I'd like to add Prada L'Homme EDP, Versace Eros Parfum, The Most Wanted EDP and Carolina Herrera's Bad Boy Parfum. All of these are can't go wrong fragrances. Dylan Blue is my no brainer pick and it smells so nice even if I'm the only one smelling it.
Cant go wrong with bleu de chanel
Tht thing is universally loved
Something like Le Labo Santal 33 is pretty safe and smells nice– I have a dupe from AllSaints called "Leather Skies". Dossier makes a replica that's a bit lighter but lower in price, and returnable if you dislike it
It really really fucking isn't.
It isn’t?
Are you adding fucking to emphasize your opinion or what i said was that ridiculous?
BDC isn't remotely unlikable to the masses. If it were, it wouldn't be the progenitor of "blue" fragrances.
It smell nice to me. Anywhere i ask or read gives a positive opinion or at the very least said it is inoffensive for office
It is not "universally loved" or even that old or 'classic'. It is frequently over powering and over worn.
What fragrance would you recommend for office wear then?
I don't think santal 33 is that safe, I was at a show recently and could pick it out in a huge crowd
Imo the noir or bergamote are safer le labo scents
Here is my rotation:
Spring/Summer
Creed Aventus (formal, date night)
Dior Homme (hot outside, less formal)
Versace Pour Homme (casual, morning)
Fall/Winter
Versace Dylan Blue (formal, evening)
Givenchy Gentleman Reserve Privee (subtle, all day, everyday)
Polo Green cosmair (powerful, all day)
A lot of people complain of Aventus longevity especially for the price. I'm surprised you have Reserve Privee as everyday. How different does Dior Homme vs Intense smell? I love iris or musk or whatever that soft floral note is but the longevity and projection is eh with the Intense.
I'm really enjoying Armaf Sillage, which is a clone of silver mountain water by creed. Light citrus and wood, not overpowering, lasts absolutely hours and hours. (and from the fragrantica reviews, longer than the Creed original)
Just don't do more than one spray with anything and you'll be golden.
To be honest, I only got the reserve privee a few days ago, so I'm still feeling it out. From what I've noticed so far, it's definitely a fall/Winter vibe and doesn't last quite as long as other EDP's. Now that you mention it, it does feel more like a formal scent. The chocolate notes are stronger the longer its been on.
As for the Dior homme vs intense, I can't comment because I don't have experience with intense. I got my bottle of homme a long time ago and I'm trying to work it back into my rotation.
Yeah, it starts out chocolatey then lemon starts popping Its head It's a lemon-chocolate cologne. Interesting combo. Not over the moon about it like some reviewers, though.
Wow, NYC finished its Santal 33 oversaturation a few years ago. Thoughts and prayers for you guys.
