What are some good options for smelling nice that are subtle?
I've always used basic scented deodorant from target, but I've been wanting something more unique. I don't want to use stuff like cologne because I don't really want a strong, masculine smell. But I don't know enough about fragrances to know exactly what I want.
I've heard of vanilla fragrance rollers which sound appealing to me, can i get some recommendations for those? Or other recommendations? I've never heard of fragrance rollers until recently so I assume theres something else out there I hadn't thought of.

Buy some nice soap
Check out sandalwood scented stuff
there’s definitely fragrances that stay very close to the skin
And aren’t super masculine
Feel like you have a misconception about cologne in general
Semi understandable, given a lot of men suck at applying it, but there's both a huge variety of scents available, and cologne should be subtle
The general guideline for the correct amount of cologne is it should only be smelled in your personal space (eg: hug, handshake, etc)
A lot of the Dyptique scents I found do not project very far, and also are often very unisex/not obnoxiously masculine.
le labo also a good option for low projection unisex
Ye I have Santal 33 and super nice.
But also super fucking £££
Just use a scented lotion instead of a cologne
Just on your hands not your face in case you're sensitive, but plenty of fragrance/skincare brands make lotions in the same scents as their colognes which stay closer to the body and can sometimes last much longer
Specifically thinking Aesop, le labo, byredo, maybe malin+goetz too
My advice is to sample a bunch of colognes and perfumes. They are usually just a few bucks online (micro scents, eBay) or go to a department store. I would recommend Not buying a whole bottle before trying if they are expensive. I would suggest looking at the Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille and YSL tuxedo for vanilla. But For summer you may want to get something more fresh with citrus notes. Also Check out fragrantica. Once you kind of know what notes you like, you can use the fragrance finder. Oh I thought of one more Perry Ellis 360 white. Great memories tied to this one for me.
