AI had to improve my mount a bit after I lost my wings in the F-16 for the first time 
AMy whole pit was shaking. I also combined this with a JetSeat, so that my ass and back were also shaking. It was a bit unnerving, but fun.
Nmight be cool if you were in the side gunner seat in the Huey though

AYour y center is a bit on the low side at 1614
ABut if the software deems the center to be too far off the ideal 2048 it shows up in red

3Is there a way to adjust this? The manual is not clear on this. Should i manually move the centers to 2048. The stick isn't centered in game (IL2) . it's not far off in most planes but is way off in the p38. Howevere The FFB works well.
THey guys, any suggestions how to center my stick? I already followed walmis advice to turn off everything cept balance spring and tweak it from there then add the other effects plus adaptive recentering. Im using a thustmaster f18 stick plus a long offset extension (220mm) so I imagine it would be aft heavy.
TAlso, are my settings decent or are things way off?

BMy guess would be to slip the belt so the motor is at about 2400 and stick is centered. Followed by recalibrating.
BMine seems to be about 2400 y and x at 2200-2300 so I'll start off with that.
3You can't change the motor position by moving the belt (I tried). That has to be done internally I think.
3I don't know how to get this to be anywhere near 2048 while stick is centered, unless there is some internal adjustment.
BWhen slipping the belt you change where the stick center, do it in the right direction and upon recalibration center will be shifted on the sensor position.

BI could be mistaken, but if say want to get the value to go one way slip the belt the other, and recalibrate.

MSo I'm having a problem where my Rhino doesn't show up in DCS when in VR. Oddly enough when I go back to 2D I can see it again in the controls list. Anyone else experience this problem or know what I can do to fix this?

DItβs a virpil Warbird, with a 10 cm aluminum extension. The extension I found on ebay for 21 dollars. I was able to super glue the threads and do a temporary repair for now.
MYeah, I can still see it in the VPForce configurator and all the inputs register there. Seems like it's DCS specifically that doesn't see it for some reason.
Afor me DCS has usually been the one with the least problems with controllers in general, I don't really know how to help there
Mlol yeah this is such a weird and specific situation I don't really know what to make of it either.
ADCS does support hot plugging so you might try to reinsert the usb when DCS is running and see if it wakes up
MI tried that and unfortunately that didn't work. Appreciate your help though, I'll keep messing around with it!
WTry swapping usb ports/hubs, how many input devices have you plugged in?
CJust remember to turn off hotplug again when youβre done. It also causes stutters in game.
MSo I'm not sure if doing a system restart fixed it or switching to SteamVR then back to VarjoXR was what did it but it seems to be working now!
DGreat look in my opinion. I bought the extension used on eBay along with the Virpil Warbird plastic stick.
ASo random q: I have an extension thatβs attached to the rhino base, and over general use, its gotten itself super tight, to the point where Iβm having trouble removing it just by twisting on it. I guess a main thing wanted to know β is it dangerous to be trying to twist it off if itβs not coming? Like, could that rotation force damage stuff inside? Also, any general tips for getting an extension off (I definitely didnβt over tighten when I put it on, itβs most just over time most likely and the force feedback effects on it)
Jive been having an issue with the rhino quite often now. I'll lose all the spring forces. usually rebooting and or switching usb ports, i'll get the function back. sometimes i'll have to go through changing ports and rebooting, then changing the port again. its pretty troublesome at this point. Anything I can do?
Ji also notice if I enable Sticky on spring force it returns. uncheck it, i lose spring forces. DCS is running or not running, I have the issue.
WNot sure what the exact issue could be, need a bit more the info for better guesses. Things to check:
Can you show a screenshot of your VPF settings?
- Are both motor status is OK in the bottom right status bar of the VPF configurator?
- Is there a lingering spring force displayed in the VPF debug tab? The one configured in the
Effectstab is the first one in the list and any other spring is created by the game/telemFFB. On startup DCS turns off all spring forces, once in the pit the spring forces should activate.
Can you show a screenshot of your VPF settings?
WI don't think you will damage it. To take it off I'd probable grab a adjustable pliers and try to twist it off over a thick rag to not damage/scratch it, something like:
WYou can add some silicone spray lube later so it will not stick so much again.

Hin dcs, do you think I could use joystick gremlin (that converts standard joystick to vjoy) and still have force feedback? Or I need to use the rhino as it is, outside gremlin and directly into dcs ?
P@walmis sorry to ping you m8 but I've finally caught in the log the x axis cutting out in dcs due to landing on the carrier, it was happening on take off too but that was cause I had the periodic & constant effects set too high for telemetry app, but now those settings are at 50% this time a missed landing caused it to rumble then cut out after that I activate the emergency stop then release it & usually all is fine after that, but this time I felt an additional slight "knock" is the stick a few times in the moments after & that is when I stopped the sim. Sorry to ping you I'm just concerned about the x motor or cog/gears being damaged in some way. I'll paste a copy of my log & settings

AFor reference, should someone else run into the same problem I had. A small thud or clunk could be heard when moving the stick against spring forces, both fore-aft and left-right. This could also be felt on the grip while moving the stick. No symptoms when spring forces were off. Motor grub screws were tight, so I figured I'd check the five bolts holding the larger gears on. 1/10 turn for each of them, and the clunkiness is gone
